The following kit configurations are intended to establish a universal baseline of standard operational guides and procedures to build your kit on. From there, the configurations are subject to your budget, personal preferences, role & responsibilities, mission, and operational environment.

PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT TO THOSE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SETUP THEIR KIT AND HELP EDUCATE AND INFORM YOU OF THE PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE THE MOST WELL INFORMED DECISIONS AND PURCHASES FOR YOUR KIT SETUP.

At the end of the day, these configurations are also intended to help standardize, optimize, and organize the preparedness community in support of Emergency Management (EM) & National Security, because at the end of the day, you, the American Citizen(s), are the greatest asset to National Security. and you should be proud that you are training and preparing for whatever the future holds for our country.

THE BASELINE KIT
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE
(SOP)

You'll notice that this is the only SOP that we have, and it's for a reason.

A large percentage of the Support and Operational components of the Law Enforcement and Military communities continue to fail to understand that your operational environment and understanding of the small and big picture will dictate how you set up your individual equipment to achieve mission success. Their failure ultimately leads to poorly developed, arbitrary, antiquated, movement-limiting, burdensome, and strictly enforced SOPs. It becomes incredibly apparent when you watch those personnel conduct daily, tactical, operational, and strategic-level operations. It is ultimately embarrassing

How many times have you looked at pictures or videos of National Guardsmen, Patrol Officers, SWAT Officers, Federal Agents, Conventional Service Members, even some SOF Service Members, and thought, man, that individual's kit is an absolute abortion? Usually, the second and third following thoughts probably roll into the following:

"That's unprofessional."
"They are barely carrying anything. What are they going to do?"
"How are they supposed to fight?"
"They don't know what they are doing."
"Why should I trust them to protect me?"
"That dude has so much kit he can barely move"

The list goes on.....

Well, this may be controvesial but we'll let the passion of lethality and survivability flow. A lot of those kit setups are dictated SOP by some indoctrinated douchebag behind a desk. I'm sorry, but not sorry. If your sole job is to sit behind a desk, you have absolutely NO RIGHT NOR NO SAY in how someone fighting on the ground should set up their kit. The only exception to this is if you are actively taking part in training with your subordinates, investing yourself and learning how your operational environment is evolving, and simultaneously allowing the personnel to help drive SOG and SOP development from the bottom up. Unfortunately, the vast majority of those kinds of leaders are a thing of the past.

This is why we only have ONE SOP VIDEO, and it's a tailorable SOP that allows for adaptation based on COMMON SENSE.

WORTH NOTING: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO HAVE AN ATAK OR ITAK PHONE AS IT PROVIDES BETTER SITUATIONAL AWARENESS FOR ALL, BUT HAVING A DEDICATED PHONE IS NOT A PART OF OUR SOP.

HELMET CONFIGURATIONS

Whether you are running a bump helmet or a ballistic helmet, a helmet will optimize your tactical configuration and allow you to go hands-free in a lot of situations. In these videos, we will cover the pros and cons of running a bump or ballistic helmet, some general setup considerations, and then cover various helmet configurations you can set up with the current helmets on the market.

Helmets seldom change after they have been configured, and fall under the Legion Preparedness Standard Operational Guide (LPSOG). However, you have to make the final decisions on your helmet setup based on you operational environment, the role and mission that you seek to fill, your local or operational threat assessment, and
